Nagaur Fort is a major and attractive tourist destination located in the city of Nagaur Rajasthan. It is a beautiful sandy citadel. Nagaur fort is witness to many battles fought in the bygone era. It is the best flat fort in Rajasthan which is famous for its high walls and huge complex.
Tourists can see many palaces, fountains, temples, and beautiful gardens inside the fort. This fort was built by the Nagavanshis and later the fort was rebuilt by Mohammad Bahleen.
The fort was built for the purpose of protecting elephants from attacks. The second entrance is the middle pole and the last entrance is the Kacheri pole. The last door was used as the judiciary of Nagaur in ancient times.

History of Nagaur Fort Rajasthan
Like the other Forts of Rajasthan is built on the top of a high hill. Which is also known by different names like Nagaur Durg, Nag Durg, and Ahichhatrapur Durg. This fort is famous for its beautiful and amazing texture.
The description of this fort made of clay is also heard in Mahabharata. The fort is said to have been won by Arjuna and presented to his mentor Dronacharya.

There are many small and beautiful palaces and chhatris inside the fort. Hadi Rani Sheesh Mahal and Badal These three palaces are famous worldwide due to their magnificent design. Inside the fort, beautiful chhatris of soldiers made in the Rajputana style will be seen.
The walls of this fort built on flat land are very high and the premises are very big. The fort has 6 main gates. The first entrance is made of iron and wooden pointed nails, which were specially designed to protect against enemies.
The second entrance gate in the middle pole, the third court pole, the fourth Suraj Pol, the fifth pole, the sixth Raj Pol. The last gate was used as the judiciary of Nagaur. There is also a mosque built nearby by the Mughal ruler Akbar and the dargah of Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti.
