The Chauth Mata Mandir is located on a hilltop of town Chauth Ka Barwada, 35 km from Sawai Madhopur district of Rajasthan state, which was founded by King Bhima in 1451 AD. Chauth Mata Temple is one of the most prominent temples of Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan.
Devotees come not only from Rajasthan but also from abroad to see Chauth Mata. Here, millions of devotees visit the Karva Chauth, Bhadrapad Chauth, Magha Chauth, and Lakkhi fair.
The festival of Karva Chauth is celebrated on the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month. On this day, the temple of Chauth Mata is decorated like a bride.
Chauth Mata is a form of Goddess Gauri. It is believed that worshiping Chautha Mata on the day of Karva Chauth gives the blessings of unbroken good fortune and happiness in married life also increases.
Height of Chauth Mata Mandir Chauth ka Barwada
The height of Chauth Mata Mandir is 1100 feet from the ground and there are a total of 700 steps in this temple, by which the devotees are able to see Mata Chauth. The idol of Lord Ganesha and Bhairavnath is also present in this temple.
There is a crowd here to see this temple of Chauth Mata made of Rajput style and marble stone. The architecture of this temple, which is about 566 years old, fascinates the mind of the viewer.
According to the local people, any work for them starts only after the worship of Chauth Mata. Doing this does not impede the auspicious work.
The people of the Bundi royal family still worship Chauth Mata as Kuldevi and pray to Goddess Chauth for the peace and the tranquility of their homes.
According to the local people, there has been an unbroken flame burning in the temple of Chauth Mata for years and on the day of Karva Chauth, the brightness of this flame increases even more. Gives the first invitation to the mother for auspicious work
The people of the Hadoti region invite Chauth Mata before every auspicious task. Due to the strong faith, it is worshiped as a total goddess since the time of the Bundi royalty.
