One of the popular temples of Jhalawar, Shri Chandrabhaga Temple is situated on the banks of the river Chandrabhaga, next to the Sun Temple. Due to the name of the river Chandrabhaga, it has been named Shri Chandrabhaga Mandir.
Situated on the banks of the river Chandrabhaga, this temple is a fine example of the art of the olden days. The beautifully sculpted pillars and arch-shaped entrance doors reflect the artistic excellence of the artists of the bygone era.
Although there are many temples on the banks of Chandrabhaganadi, among them Shri Dwarkadhish Temple, Sheetaleshwar Mahadev’s Temple, Shantinath Jain Temple, and Padmanath Temple are very famous.
Chandrabhaga Temple History
The Temple of Chandrabhaga was constructed in the 17th century. This temple is situated near a huge banyan tree. Now, this temple is turning into ruins, but still holds impressive faith among the local people and devotees.
In the temple of Chandrabhaga, five Shivlings stand in a row in front of the temple where devotees gather to offer prayers. Chandrabhaga Temple is open for devotees daily from dawn till sunset.

Temple of Chandrabhaga Jhalawar can be reached by bus and train. It is located about 09 km from Jhalawar Railway Station. And Chandrabhaga Temple is about 03 km from Jhalrapatan railway station.
