Scenes from Hindu mythology are depicted outside the main temple. Inside the temple is a large marble inscription narrating mythological events. As soon as enters the Birla temple, firstly a statue of Lord Ganesha is seen which is considered very auspicious.
From here to tourist one reaches the main sanctum sanctorum of the temple where the idols of Goddess Lakshmi and god Vishnu are enthroned.

Birla Mandir has huge gardens all around, which gives a different feel to the tourists. Apart from this, a small museum containing household items used by members of the Birla family has also been established here.
The museum is open from 8 am to 12 noon and 4 pm to 8 pm. There is no entry fee for tourists to visit here.
Janmashtami is celebrated with great pomp in the Birla temple. On this special occasion, the temple is decorated with gleaming lights and oil lamps. On this day, a large number of tourists come to seek the blessings of Lord Krishna.

The Birla Mandir timings for regular visitors are between 6:00 am to 12:00 pm daily and 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Cameras or phones and taking pictures are not allowed in Birla Mandir.
