Gajner Palace Bikaner is a beautiful palace located at a distance of 34 km from the district headquarters of Bikaner in Rajasthan. The Gajner palace was built by the former ruler of Bikaner Maharaja Ganga Singh Ji.
the Palace is located on the banks of Lake Gajner in the middle of the Bikaner Thar Desert. Gajner Palace in Bikaner is one of the major tourist destinations of Bikaner. Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary is located near Gajner Lake.
In ancient times, the Gajner Palace was used by the Bikaner Maharaja as a lodge for hunting and leisure. Gajner Palace Bikaner was also a hunting ground during the British period.
Several Viceroys of the East India Company (Prince of Wales, Lord Irwin’s Governor General Lord Elgin, and Lord Mountbatten) visited the Gajner Palace. And stayed in this palace during hunting. And who gained fame hunting sand birds found in the region.
Here, a huge collection of skins and horns made by Maharaja Ganga Singh can be seen in the museum of Gajner Mahal.

Gajner Palace was connected to Bikaner Railway in 1922 AD. the Palace was converted into a hotel in 1976 by the Rajasthan government to promote tourism. And it is currently owned by the HRH Group of Hotels.
The Palace is an excellent example of Rajasthani architecture inspired by Jain and Mughal architecture. Palace Gajner is spread over a vast area of 6000 acres, which includes Gulab Niwas, Champa Niwas, Dungar Niwas, and Mandir Chowk.
The Dungar Niwas has 13 suites that were used to host the British logo people. And the second branch, Gulab Niwas, has 32 executive rooms that were handed over to railway officials during the British period.
Temple Chowk is the east wing of the palace which has a reception hall, an ancient temple, and a centuries-old banyan. The hotel is built in traditional Rajasthani architectural style with elements of British Raj in its infrastructure and decoration.
The palace is known for its distinctive terraces and balcony. The palace complex also has the remains of a historic railway station.
The Palace Gajner Hotel offers tourists many facilities for leisure activities. It also organizes classic events such as swimming, lawn tennis courts, desert safaris, camel rides, jeep safaris, and dance, and music.
